Act 3 - Junior

Act 3 - Junior

One of our favorite Illinois musicians, the great John Prine, said it best. "Some Humans Ain't Human".  As our small group of close friends can testify, we like dogs more than most people. So if you think this blog is about us expecting our firstborn, you just don't know us at all.

If you read our previous blogs, you already met our sweet Luna dog. She is so cute, you need to see another picture of her don't you? OK. Here ya go. This was a pic of her at the pound when Scott first met her. How could you not want to take that puppy home with you?

While Luna was keeping Scott company, Gidget was keeping Jenny company away at college.  Gidget was a wild kitten running, climbing, and attacking unsuspecting guests with paw swats from behind the couch. Luna was rightfully terrified when she met tiny mischievous Gidget.

So just like any human, we thought we needed to get Luna a brother or sister to keep her company when we weren't spoiling her. Jenny had a friend of the family that was unable to keep a lab mix puppy that she had just recently gotten. We introduced him to Luna and she seemed pretty tolerant of him. Bugzy also enjoyed playing with our crazy cat Gidget, so we knew it was going to be a good fit. So here's a picture of little Bugzy-boy right after we got him.

Our dogs became our adventure buddies, hiking, canoeing, and going anywhere we could take them.

PS. Luna hates getting in the water even if its 100 degrees.

Evil Gidget doesnt look as evil when she is sleeping.

There's that crazy cat I was warning you about.

We made a great family in our little home in the mid-west. Our next challenge would be to figure out how we were going to get our family out of Illinois without breaking our almost non-existent budget.
